Dear God,

Can you please fix our broken country?

Why is it that people and companies that ruin our society, ruin other societies, and ruin the planet get huge gifts of money, but PBS (United States Public Broadcasting Service) continues to have their budget cut?

Why is it that companies (and their cronies) that have mocked those of us who have respect for you and your planet, should have more respect than PBS, that has made its mission to educate and spread useful information?

Why is it our government pours billions (perhaps trillions) of dollars in to private enterprises that work to build weapons, build distrust, hide information, inflict death, spread hate in other countries, and even promote terror, while PBS gets less and less money to do the opposite? Promote peace, share information, and do good?

Dear God, I just happened to open the Bible at random and read what is attributed to Yeshua/Jesus in Matthew 7:15-20 (WEB):

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them.

"Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

"Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them."

Dear God, you are the wisest of them all.

Please help us be like you, cope with the lies, the persecutions, and be glad during our suffering.

Please help us to learn.

Please keep us from being tricked by bad logic and twisted words, please help us try to bring peace, please help us to stand against perversions of your will, even if it's from powerful people.

Dear God, I know you hate money, but could you take some of it away from those who don't deserve it and give a lot to PBS so they don't have to interrupt the shows I love, so they can produce more shows, and if there's any left over, I could use some to pay off my burdensome debts that are older than 7 years?

And please bless our senators and representatives that control the purse strings.
