"God Told Us to Kill You!" "No! God Told Us to Kill You!"
Once Upon a Time
Group One
Once upon a time there were some people who thought it was their God-given duty to kill, or control, others who didn't think, or worship, like they did.
Group Two
However, there were some other people who thought God had told them to kill, or control, others; because others didn't think, or worship, like they did.
Group Three
Along came a third group of people who said, "Please stop killing each other!"
The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend?
Suddenly, instead of just killing each other, the first two groups had a common enemy. They hated the people who said to stop killing, or controlling, others due to religious beliefs.
Conclusion?
Since the third group did not believe in killing and murder
- they had no guns
- they had no suicide vests
- they had no biological poisons
- they had no GPS guided missiles
- they had no over-paid lobbyists and CEOs flush with cash from selling weapons
- they had no mass-media propaganda campaigns swaying and rallying public perception
- they had no gaunt (or rotund) "holy-men" claiming God wished everyone converted or dead
The third group stood, unashamed of their beliefs and explained them to everyone. This made them an easy target and easy to kill.
So, the first two groups joined together in killing everyone from the third group quickly and without resistance.
After everyone from the third group was dead, the first two groups didn't stop to celebrate. They immediately resumed killing each other. Why? They replied, "Because 'God told us to.'"
Editor Note
If you think God is ordering you to kill someone else, please let me interject that I think this is wrong. Please read some simple beliefs about God.
Study life, not death. Study giving, not taking. Don't look to control, but to set free. Worship God; more thoughts about God.

Just a Simple Story
In case you are wondering, this is just a simple story.
In case you are wondering, “Which group is the Muslims/Jews/Christians/Hindus/Buddhists/whites/blacks/latinos/Russians/Indians/Iranians/Sunnis/Shias/Wahabi/etc...?”
NONE!
I wrote it as a simple story to analyze the craziness of killing, that there is no honor among thieves, and the crooked logic of people who “murder for God,” etc... NOT to draw some hidden parallels between specific religious/ethnic/geographical groups.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, world without hate
I just read a quote attributed to Jack Handey that made me think of my short story above.
You can find the quote, and more here:

Please excuse me while I step aside and cry.
