Why "Don't Ask, Don't Tell?"

Introduction

I, for one, can not say I'm interested in hearing of people's sexual exploits or interests. I don't ask for that information, but it is sometimes volunteered to me. For the most part, it is not exactly breaking news to me. But I do my best to follow the Golden Rule and treat others with the respect I would like to be treated with. Generally I just change the subject.

I have been hit on by gay men. I don't like it. I don't make lewd comments to women, I don't "accidentally" bump into them in stores, on the street, or wherever, in order to start conversations or relationships. But that has happened to me on more than a few occasions. I ignore it and move on.

But it is ignorant to assume that all homosexuals go around hitting on others of their same gender, just like it's ignorant to think that because some heterosexual men who act like animals in a rut, represent all men.

But I have to wonder why the U.S. Military feels the need to expel people who tell others they are gay.

"God Told Us to Kill You"

Perhaps this most recent story of the guy from Kansas who thinks God put him in charge of murdering people he disagrees with, sheds some light on this matter.

As I've begun pointing out in the series, "Similarities of the Extremists," we know there are radical-nut-case-religious-people who ignore God, like when God said "vengeance is mine," [Deuteronomy 32:35, Romans 12:19-21] and they take the law into their own hands and kill people because they think it's God's will.

Clearly there are some people who have the mistaken belief that they are going to be punished for "allowing" others they consider to be sinners, to go on doing whatever it is they're doing. Even when those things do not involve the "non sinner" or harm anyone else.

Clearly there are some people who call themselves Christians who despise Jesus' teaching and want to revert the world to live according to their version of Old Testament Law, stoning, shaming, etc… "sinners." It is my belief there are many preachers who have undeserved influence over our Military and Civilian leaders.

Current Working Theory

So because if you tell them you are gay, they feel the Devil instructing them they must retaliate against you, and perhaps stone you to death. But part of their conscience acknowledges that's wrong, so they are very conflicted, pull a Sergeant Shutlz, and thus "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Down with the thugs who feel they have to force their wills on others.

Another Evil Religion of Hate

We also see an Evil Religion of Hate in the Drug War. They are Thug Addicts who despise God. They shove on society the recent human tradition of imprisoning people because they have plants God made. They are ruining our whole planet, and causing lots of people to suffer. "Eye for eye and tooth for tooth" is supposed to be the most base form of punishment. But someone who uses medical marijuana or someone who uses peyote or mushrooms to worship God is not causing harm to others. However, those people are subject to INTENSE EVIL by the Thug Addicts who worship the Devil.

For many thousands of years humanity has used the cannabis plant, also known as marijuana, for medicine, in worshipping God, and for its amazing fiber. But because a small number of small minded racists, we now have a planet-wide Evil Religion of Hate that destroys people's lives because they use plants God put here for us to use.

And as we see in 1 Timothy 4:1-6, this was prophesied.

Down with the hateful thugs!

Hm… Gotta wonder how this one turns out.

Christian music star Jennifer Knapp comes back and comes out

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Jennifer Knapp shocked the Christian music industry and fans by announcing she's gay

Hm… check out the last sentence below, sounds like it validates some of my theory above.

Knapp is not the first artist to find fame in the genre before revealing their sexuality.

In 2008, Christian singer/songwriter Ray Boltz came out as a gay man after a 20-year career in the industry. In 2009, gospel star Tonex went public with his homosexuality as a guest on "The Lexi Show," a popular program on the Christian channel The Word Network.

Lexi, who is also a gospel music artist, said that while many in the Christian music industry are aware of who is gay, "we don't talk about it, because that's the unspoken rule."
