Joe Biden's Very Close Call

Recently it was revealed that Joe Biden declared that within some period after the election, after the inauguration, unspecified foreign powers would test the newly elected US President.

I am paraphrasing since I am not knowledgeable of the full quote and don't want to look it up at this moment.

However, I feel the need to add my two cents.

Many people have seized on this comment, similar to their scrutiny of his comments about Patriotism and taxes, which I also scrutinized.

However, this most recent comment, about the new President being tested requires much less mental energy on my part. I already know it's going to happen.

It's my belief that if a problem from abroad afflicts us, it's much easier to rally support from citizens; the "real" problem will be attacks and corruption from within.

So, I would modify his comments somewhat to include that some of the biggest issues Obama will face, or McCain for that matter if elected, will be from disgruntled members of the "opposing party."

In other words, people who are upset their chosen candidate did not win.

Actually I don't mean to say the President will face them, at least directly. Most likely they will be more like monkey wrenches in the gears, or surreptitious bugs in the software code. But it's quite possible the intentional problems will be overt.

I am not claiming to be a prophet or that I have some special knowledge from God about this. But I am only using logic, based on past experience, and on the currently very high tensions that exist.

I am also not discounting Joe Biden's comments that various foreign powers may do something untoward either, but wished to add a variation to it.
